@numeeja I did what you said and it worked thank you. I managed to get back into the admin and I’ve now deleted the plugin. It seems it was a problem that a lot of users were experiencing after updating wordpress but the plug in authors haven’t fixed the bug.

Although there’s is still one small issue now that I have the site working again. There is still a bit of text showing at the top of the page that shouldn’t be there. The text is:

Deprecated: contextual_help is deprecated since version 3.3.0! Use get_current_screen()->add_help_tab(), get_current_screen()->remove_help_tab() instead. in /customers/0/4/b/simonfinley.net/httpd.www/wp-includes/functions.php on line 5152

Do you know how I can get rid of this?

I just remembered that I did clear my browsing data on my phone yesterday and tried visiting my site again just to be sure but i still got the old page. I’ve just tried it again now but still the same

If it is the W3 plug-in is there a way of avoiding this happening again? I want any updates I make to my site to be working straight away for anyone who views it on any platform.

I have had W3 Total Cache installed for a good while with no problems. I haven’t changed any setting within the plugin. How can it suddenly be a problem?

I just used the wordpress embed code that soundcloud provides and added it to the content area of my homepage. Usually works but for some reason isn’t showing up on my mobile

that has fixed the slider going black when I shrink my browser but now the slider doesn’t rotate automatically which is what I want. I also want to keep the fade option. The arrows and navigation are still there too.

Also, it is still showing a blank white image when I first load up my site.

I’ve added the slider again. It still has issues.

It now has arrows and a navigation that weren’t on the slider the first time I had it installed.

When I shrink my browser the slider goes black before an image appears.

I have taken it off because I didn’t want to leave it on there if it wasn’t working properly. I initially added this code to my header.php file when installing it

Thank you for the replies. I have actually got my site load time down quite a bit since I posted this. Tried that W3 total cache plugin and deleted some unused plug ins. Made quite a difference. I still want to get it down a bit more so I will try that gzip compression.

Thanks for replying. I’ve just added that page whilst I tried to figure out what has happened. I’ve de-activated all the plug-ins and am now activating them again one by one. Hopefully I will get to the route of the problem.
