I’ve spoken to Snapchat support and they have mentioned that we must send the item_id (product id) through the pixel, not the item_group_id.

See their response below:

In regards to the Dynamic Ads and Pixel Implementation, you must passback item_id. At this time, we require item_id only, not item_group_id. After you’ve configured Pixel and the item_id, it’s important to make sure it’s firing correctly. You can verify implementation with the Snap Pixel Helper.

Thanks, the PAGE VIEW event looks to be working correctly.

However the ADD TO CART event is not working correctly for simple products (products with no variations). The ADD TO CART event appears to be working for products with variations, but it’s sending the Item Group ID, not the Product ID. Is this normal? Could there be a setting to allow us to choose whether we want to send the Group ID or the Product ID for the ADD TO CART and PURCHASE events?

Same issue for me too!

I also noticed that it doesn’t work on mobile devices when it’s suppose to, but I have a feeling that this issue is causing it to not work on mobile devices.

Can anyone else confirm if theirs is also not working on mobile devices?
