Thanks. I did FTP in to check files. I looked through the theme /images folder but all were generic images. I checked for header.jpg and .gif but no luck. I did find an old header image but the site name changed from .com to .site. I no longer have the image used and don’t know a designer can “fix” the header

I decided to try Dropbox. Amazon sounded good but I have some reservations. Now I just have to remember which backup works with Dropbox. I was on my laptop today but forgot to grab some plugins. Tonight I’ll get them through WordPress.

To me, Dropbox is for iPad. Does it work on Windows, too?

I decided to use it but not with Dropbox. I got a free year at Amazon AWS. Backups will go to the Cloud so I’ll be protected in case of hack.

I knew there was a jobs site linked here but couldn’t find a link. Googled ‘WordPress Jobs’ but had no luck. I put the job on a freelance site but bids like $1,200 came in. Most were $300 and up. Ten minutes of work!

My old coder is still active but it’s been fifteen years since he did work for me. I’m not close to him any longer so feel it’s wrong to ask, though he’d do it at no cost.

@t-p and @anevins: thank you. I tried to get the text but my fixer is in the middle of restoring. Nothing loads as index.php isn’t there. I tried to copy it from FTP but if I click (I’m on iPad now, not Windows ) it closes the program. Hopefully he either fixes it or restores it. I’d send over index.php as a blank page but it may FUBAR my site

But it was a year ago as I stated above. A year ago I was one version behind.

All plugins were up to date. WP was one version behind and it was hacked.

Thank you. I only need to change any plugin that sends files via FTP then. I did research and lots of people here referenced their FTP info relating to WP directly but I could not remember inputting that info.

Looks like I’ll be busy changing FTP usernames and passwords!
