Just verifying that Lisa’s advice was exactly what I needed to do.

If anyone else is in a similar situation, after I backed up my database, I re-installed WP. At first, I replaced the new WP-Content with the old but that didn’t do anything.

I then went into wpconfig and changed all the database entries to my old database info. Tada . . . site’s back up.

Will do. I’m sure that’s the best outcome I can hope for, so I’m going to mark this as resolved.

That was easier than I thought. So, I now have the database backed up and the wp-admin, wp-content & wp-includes backed up.

At this point, would it be prudent to reinstall WP and then import those things back in?
