Hi Jason,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Unfortunately, this is not something that is supported by the plugin. The first variant is always selected by default. Which will show the price for that variant.
Also, is it possible if you could share the article or help doc that you read that shows how to do it from within Shopify? Our team is curious to know which part you’re talking about.
Thanks again for your patience and for using the plugin!
Hi Matt,
Unfortunately, this is something that is entirely out of our control. WordPress.com is not an open platform. Our plugin along with the majority of all www.remarpro.com plugins will not work on WordPress.com sites.
In fact even our regular Buy Button embed codes will not work on WordPress.com as the ability to embed scripts or code into a WordPress.com site is restricted by Automattic.
I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused and we would love to be able to be of greater assistance but there’s not much we can do to help you with a WordPress.com site.

In reply to: [Shopify eCommerce Plugin - Shopping Cart] Please fix this PHP NoticeHi there,
We’re really sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.
Is it possible if you could provide us more information, so that our team can try to recreate the issue on our end.
Could we have your WordPress and PHP version numbers as well?
Thank you for your assistance!

In reply to: [Shopify eCommerce Plugin - Shopping Cart] Checkout goes to popupHi Chuck,
We apologize for the delay in our response over the holidays.
This is not explicitly supported in the WordPress plugin, but you can set the cart to open in the same window by using the following change in the Buy Button UI library: https://github.com/Shopify/buy-button-js/pull/290
There are a couple of caveats. We haven’t included this as an option previously because once the user has completed checkout, they cannot be redirected back to the site the buy button is embedded in, so that’s the trade-off. Additionally, redirecting to the checkout page in the same window will not clear the cart, so if the same user comes back to the same page on the same device, their previous cart will still be there.
Please let us know if this helps and if you have any additional questions!

In reply to: [Shopify eCommerce Plugin - Shopping Cart] Total MashupHi Jimmy,
We’re incredibly sorry for the inconvenience and frustration this has caused you.
The team is reviewing any and all pages that focus on our WordPress offerings to ensure that there is sufficient mention of the www.remarpro.com limitation of the plugin.
It’s unfortunate, but WordPress.com is a very restrictive web hosting platform, our services along with many other WordPress plugins are restricted by Automattic (creators of WordPress.com) from working on WordPress.com.
For more information about the differences between the two, please visit the following site: www.remarpro.com vs WordPress.com
With that said, WordPress.com and Shopify are two separate platforms and companies, so there are no Shopify packages that allow you to use Shopify for free with a WordPress.com website.
We apologize that it wasn’t more apparent that our Shopify services only work on www.remarpro.com and not WordPress.com, our team is currently reviewing and updating any pages that might be missing this information.
If you have any additional questions, please contact us directly at [email protected] and we will do our best to assist you!

In reply to: [Shopify eCommerce Plugin - Shopping Cart] Connected to main shopify store?Hey,
The Shopify Online Store cart is different from the WordPress plugin cart. Any items added into one will not show up in the other.
Unfortunately, there is no way for them to show the same products right now.
I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.
Thank you for reaching out to us!
Hi Joe,
Yes, that is the same plugin. In that one it comes with packaged with a specially designed theme.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Hey Joe,
Sorry for the delay. Would it be easier if you could share the the site information to us privately?
If yes, please email us at [email protected].
Our team wants to dig deeper into why the WP plugin and the Shopify Buy Button are both failing in this situation.
Please let us know, and thank you for your patience!
Hi Joe,
I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused, we’ll do our best to get you the help you need.
First, are you referring to the cart or the product display itself? Current product embeds only show a cart that persists over the main domain itself.
Second, could you please share the URL for your website/sites as well?
Thank you for your patience!

In reply to: [Shopify eCommerce Plugin - Shopping Cart] css issues in IE10-IE11Hi Eva,
The team has fixed all of the issues that you reported to us.
The fixes should go live in a couple of days, please let us know then if you’re still experiencing the issues.
Thank your for reporting these issues and for your patience!
Hey Leo,
We’ve tried many different scenarios and we’re unable replicate the the issue. Fortunately, the issue will be addressed in the next update for the wordpress plugin.
However, you should be able to use the new Buy Button Builder from within Shopify. This should generate an embed using the new embed codes, which does not cause this issue.
Please let us know if this is helpful.
Thank you for your patience!
Hi Leo,
Could you provide some more information about what kind of browser and what version you’re using that shows this problem.
We’ve tried loading your site (which you posted in the other post) on our end in different browsers and the product embeds seem to be loading properly.
Thank you for your patience!
