I ended up deactivating all my plugins and then clicked on updates and it worked then I reactivated all my plugins and it still works… that is weird.

well I am using the slideshow widget for the NextGen Gallery and I wanted it to be 300×220 in the sidebar cause at the moment it doesn’t look all that great when I have to reduce it to 250×220. I don’t have a link to my site as I am only running it locally for the time being.

Nevermind I figured out the calendar, I just used:

        <ul><?php get_calendar(); ?></ul></li>

and voila presto a calendar appears, that amazing… LOL!

Alright so after much fideling with the code, I removed all the widgets from the left sidebar and put in the code at the top of sidebar.php it works, however I am unable to add any widgets due to the navigation section disapears and only the widgets appear. Is there a list of the codes that I can look at to see how to add widgets to sidebar.php manually? Like how would I display the calendar using code rather then the auto widget?

alright so I took an idea from that plugin. I tried the plugin first then I found another way of doing the same thing. You still have to use the order pages to put them in order or what I did was use the database to do the same thing. then I put this code in the sidebar:

now if I could figure out how to display the sub pages on the parent page. Like how would I go about displaying the links to sub pages on the parent page?
