I just need a button which takes the user to my gallery.

Why not? I want to take the user from a buttom on the main page to another website?

Well I have a bar on the top, which has buttons like, home, gallery, contact us, etc.

I want to add another button, (which happens when I add a new page)

But the hyperlink to that button needs to be a external site

If I go back to permalinks and try to change that to default, .htacess is regenerated and same problem happens.

I deleted that and site is now accessible.

But I can’t really take that option back to default?
