Yes, this is almost it, I think I’ll get there, I just foresaw my seperate links page using thumbnail which are a bit too large for WordPress to put in the sidebar etc. I think I need to associate images with the links but make sure WordPress only uses the text label on the front page.

I have a similar question, the dropdown menu to choose your display name only contains permutations of my realname and my nickname I use to login. I want to sign my posts as ?? which I’m not happy about using as my realname or my login, so is there a way to add this to the dropdown menu choice?

I’ve got this working to the extent that Photon can see my WP categories and add to them etc, so it’s obviously found my blog, but I get the Server Error message when I try to upload. (I was getting the 405 message but I remembered I hadn’t allowed file uploads in the WP Misc Options section!)

I used 0 for the ID in Photon

I set the upload to /wp-content/photos so that it uses the same folder as PhotoPress, which is CHMOD 777

I’m hosted on Linux, Apache 1.3.33, cPanel Build 10.2.0-RELEASE 82

Any ideas? this would be a really handy piece of kit if I could get it to work.

OK, I’m a total newbie to this WordPress stuff, I’ve spent days hacking about with php stuff to get my blog going at https://www.holster.co.uk/blog.

I have catagories for books, films and music etc for when I write about something I’ve read or seen. I’d like to be able to do a recent posts by category, so I can have a “Last 3 books I read” link section etc etc. This thread seems to be asking the same thing, but is there a definative answer here? I don’t speak PHP!
