I have added fresh wp-admin and includes but website is still down. What else can I do. I am getting a bit desperate now.

Thanks for your reply but how do I set my theme to Twentyten? I cant access the dashboard thru wp-login. I can only access the themes folder through cpanel of my webhost.

I have renamed the plugin folder to something else so I hope this has deactivated plugins

I was using remove top level categories plugin and this was causing the error. I just deactivated it and everything began working properly but i now have “category” before each category.

Thanks Cypher i think it was all the techinical jargon like ftp that made me panic. i followed your e-mail and it was painlessly easy so i now have connections and i am really happy being a novice and i will be exploring more stuff on wp

This is the part i am still struggling with. Yes WP is up and running and i have even imported from my blogger account.

I have uncompressed it but i dont know where to save it as i didnt do the installation. I wish there were screen short to say what to do next.
