that’s happened to me before. i just let it slide, and made sure my changes took effect by looking at ie or having other people look. after a day or 2, changes were there in firefox.

why not just keep it in that directory? you can always create an index.html that automatically points the user to the index in that direcotry. simple java can do it.

that happened to me when i installed the Blacklist plugin. Something was wrong with the way it was installed, so i just deleted the database and started over (it is a new site, only 3 articles posted.) i reinstalled and everything went okay.
Did you install any new plugins lately?

my config is still localhost on my server and it works fine.
the problem could be your database name. my host names the databases using my username, so for example it would be shep_wordpress or shep_blog .
try your username_databasename

looks good. i would suggest making the left column go all the way down and put a link to the frontpage on there, or make the header link to frontpage

well, i think we assumed that you had some basic graphic knowledge if you are creating a website. obviously if you were looking to replace the header, then you had some image in mind, so i told you to make that image the personalheader.jpg.

create an image, save as personalheader.jpg and drop it in your images folder. that’s the easiest way to do it, and i think it even says this (commented out) in the code.

you using 1.2 or 1.3 of wp? either way, i’m sure you could edit the css for the sidebar (i’m not looking at the code right now so i could be way off on this)

can you post up your nav bar style and html code? i recognize it as the same that binary bonsai uses, but i couldn’t get mine to look like that.

i downgraded to 1.2 and made all the changes i could find. i changed all the wide column styling to be exactly like the narrow column style and it worked.

i tried that, and it made the text go to the left, but off the page, and the sidebar stayed at the bottom. i’m gonna retry in wp1.2

i realy didn’t think it was a 1.3 problem, just a design problem, and i’m sure the solution is in the code somewhere, i just don’t see it right now ??
