Yeah, I had run the upgrade. Not sure but definitely have noticed a significant slow down, and I’ve not done any customization on this installation other than some of the menu user levels.
Perhaps it’s just my system under heavy load tonight. The pages serve quickly though.
Ah well, one of life’s little mysteries. If no one else is having problems, and the recent code shouldn’t impact on performance, must be something local. I’ll try on a different system.
    Thanks

It was about an hour ago? The 19th nightly.

That’s one thing I’m looking at, but will require me to modify the gemini template to incorporate this into that particular theme.
Might do it so that I can open this up. It’s quite fun switching themes and would like several to choose from.

beel, oh, insider humor. I’ll look more closely for the wink-nudge next time.
So I’ve summarized what I’ve reverse engineered out of all of this here .
So Dashboard is going to become an aggregator. Of RSS 2.0 feeds. And it looks like the default feed is RSS 2.0, and you’re automatically wrapping URLs as enclosures?
    My.

Don’t forget to use radioactive green if you can. I’ve heard that it will help you find the women of wordpress.

Yes, it looks like it was in the upgrade script, the import went well.
No worries if it’s something you’re all in the middle of, because it’s working.

I used the import-mt.php page with the 7/9 nightly and got the following error:
Database error: [Unknown column ‘guid’ in ‘field list’]
    SELECT ID, post_title, post_content, post_excerpt, guid, post_date, post_name, post_status, post_author FROM md_posts
    Seems to be working though.

It had 5063 links. I think that the number of 5 would trigger it.
No, what I found is that the wp-comments-post.php file I had was out of synch from my installation, when compared with the code in 1.2 that you can download now. I’m guessing it was an old 1.2a file that didn’t get copied over when I upgraded the site to 1.2 after it released. The old file did not have the check_comments function call, or the filter application function.
And it tested comment_moderation using text rather than numbers.
Anyway, I edited it and tested with the comment, and it is stopping it now.

I am having problems with someone who is specifically targetting WordPress.
They space their comments out so they don’t trigger the timed filters. However, they have many links in the comments, which should trigger WordPress moderation.
But it’s not. So, how does one turn this on?

Thanks for the link Ryan. I couldn’t remember where it was located and didn’t have it bookmarked.
Thanks for taking these on. Do you need me to submit these as bugs?

Sorry — DNS is Domain Name System, and nameservers help manage the mapping between your physical address on the Net and your specific domain name.
If you just moved from blogger to your own site, you could be running into some DNS errors.
To ensure your pages show, access the site using the URL that your host gave you (to work on the pages until the name propagation takes effect).

This sounds more like a DNS problem. If your ISP’s DNS server is having problems or is out of synch, you can get unable to find (the site) while the rest of us see it just fine. If you have a new site, or have recently moved it, or your hosting company has updated its nameserver records, this could result in you getting this type of behavior.
Your site is very new — I would say you have nameserver issues, rather than anything with WordPress.
And server error 404 — that’s the error you get accessing a page that doesn’t exist. That doesn’t cause the pages to go away. It means ‘page not found’.

You mean, they don’t come armed with enough firepower for me to blow Kansas up? Or go to the moon?
Darn. Well then, what good are they?
