In reply to: my posts are displaying differently. Some with double side barsI’d also try quickly switching to one of the default themes and checking that all posts now display correctly.
If so, the problem is with your theme and you’ll need to contact the dev for support as mentioned above. If the problem persists with a default theme then it’s something else and your theme dev probably can’t help you.

In reply to: How do I invite new admins to my site?Your question is slightly confusing. If all four of you are already posting on the site, then they presumably already have their own login info? Or are all four of you sharing one user account?
If the latter, you can add new users under Users > Add New and give them the admin role, or you can allow users to register themselves by ticking the “anyone can register” box under Settings > General and then set them to the admin role once they’ve signed up.
If it’s the former, and they already have their own accounts, and you’ve already “assigned the others as admins” by which you presumably mean given them the admin role, then I’m not sure what you mean. Could you try explaining in more detail please?

In reply to: Unable to change order of postsWordPress troubleshooting tip #1:
Turn plugins off, does the problem still occur?
No – Turn them back on one by one til you figure out the culprit. Switch to the default theme and see if the same plugin causes the same problem now. If not, the combo of your theme + this plugin is the issue. If it’s still a problem with the default theme activated, the problem is just with that plugin and you can ask its developer for support.
Yes – Switch to a default theme, does the problem still occur?
No – The problem is with your theme, ask the theme developer for support
Yes – Now it gets more complicated. Post back and let us know you’ve tried this with no luck.

In reply to: JUST CURIOUS…about to tick off some people…WordPress themes are really competitive, designers are constantly trying to outdo each other to be accepted and get decent sales on a market like Theme Forest.
Generally that means if there’s a trend in web design in general, you’ll see it most emphatically in WordPress themes because there are just so many of them and everyone is trying to make sure theirs has massive appeal to people right this second.
Other sites, well if you’re designing themes for a platform that only has 5 other themes, or you’re redesigning a site that gets redone every 9 years, being bang on trend is probably not a good thing at all when trends move on so quickly.
So you’re not into the current trend. Maybe you’ll be into the next one. Maybe you can even help influence the next one. No big deal if you don’t like the new designs popping up right now.

After seeing the system in action today, I have every sympathy for this ??

In reply to: WP.org user account email issueThe BuddyPress site is totally independent of www.remarpro.com
And yet signing up here automatically gets you an account there, and logging out from certain pages of WP.org directs you to the login page of BuddyPress.
If they’re supposed to be separate, it’s not working right ??

In reply to: WP.org user account email issueDoes that help?
Very much so, thanks. I guess I’ll wait another day and see if it lets me change email by then. I’m just feeling impatient to start uploading plugins and want to make sure my account is working right first :p
As for the profiles, I’ve only ever signed up through the forum here but as well as the two you mentioned above I also have a third profile at https://buddypress.org/community/members/USERNAME/. I had to update the email address on the old account there as it didn’t automatically do it, but I wouldn’t even have known I had a BuddyPress account if I hadn’t clicked a logout link somewhere on wp.org that for some reason redirected me there, because I never purposefully signed up for one.
I’m sure it’s all very simple when you’re used to it. It’s just weird for people who expect to sign up on one site and have one profile. I’ll live!
