Right after I posted this I figured it out. I deleted the last line of this code background-image:url from my stylesheet. However, I would like to remove this using my child theme instead of directly editing the sytlesheet.

	font-size:.813em;
	background-repeat:repeat-x;
	background-position:0 0;
        background-image:url(images/tail-top.gif);
}

Same thing with the center image that runs across the middle.

As a follow up, I did find another plugin called oembed that allows you to paste video links into regular WordPress comments that will automatically create the embedded video and thumbnail. Still does not work for Facebook comments.

Yeah it’s a shame, imagine if these people put as much time into breaking things into fixing them.

I updated to the latest version and I went into my Jetpack settings and noticed that my connection to wordpress had been lost so I connected again and tried to setup my connection to my social media pages with Publicize and ran into the same Facebook issue. So I went back to the beta version and still had the same Facebook issue. So I signed out of my Facebook that I had open in another tab and tried again. This time it worked and I got the option to select the proper page. I don’t know if this workaround will help with the latest version but I’m for now I’m going to stick with the beta since it is doing what I need.

Hey Jeremy,

I went to that page and downloaded the zip archive at the bottom that contains the jetpack PHP file and uploaded it to said directory after renaming my original for backup. I’ve tried connecting my business page several times and still getting the same issue. I’ve logged out of WP and back in and still getting same.

If there is anymore info I can provide that will assist in debugging I would happy to.

You were probably confused by this “Just tried this and still getting the same error, trying to use my personal profile” What I meant is is still trying to force me to use my personal FB profile.

Jeremy, the only thing I want to do is send posts to my Facebook business page, not my personal page. I have a design website and blog and want to connect it to Facebook. Still the same issue.

Just tried this and still getting the same error, trying to use my personal profile. Isn’t there a way to roll back the plugin to release where this was working?

Could the issue be that this plugin is already attached from another website to one of my other business pages.
