In reply to: [PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry] Deezer ArtworkGive this a try:
1.) Log in to your? WordPress site?
2.) Go to PowerPress >> Settings >> Feeds tab; check the box next to Do not allow other plugins to modify podcast feeds.?
3.) Click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page
4.) Clear any site caches, if applicableIf that doesn’t help, you can try removing the favicon from your theme’s appearance settings.
This is the dev team’s response to your question: “not possible. turning on post type podcasting doesn’t turn off the main podcast feed, so when powerpress is enabled there will always be a metabox under the standard post type”
Within the Podcast Episode box, there’s a tab called Website Display. Within that tab, there’s a checkbox for “Do not display player” that’ll keep the audio player from displaying for that post only.
PowerPress does not have the ability to replace the blog post text in a podcast RSS feed. An option is to go to WordPress settings >> Reading and set the feed to show Excerpt instead of Full Text. That’ll put an abbreviated version of the blog post text into the podcast RSS feed with a link back to the WordPress post.
Not sure this is possible but I’ve asked the Blubrry dev team to look at it. I’ll post another message here as soon as I get something back from them.

In reply to: [PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry] Every update I lose my settings. There’s no way to export/import PowerPress settings. You may want to contact support for the company hosting your WordPress site to see if they can help with this. Something is likely happening with your WordPress installation that’s wiping PowerPress settings from your site’s database, which is very unusual behavior.

In reply to: [PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry] 400 Bad Request from CloudfrontHere’s what the dev team had to say:
“unfortunately i think this issue is out of our control. the media URL redirecting to a different url every time it loads up will be hard to deal with. most likely their server is caching the response from the first request made, which would still have the Location from the initial request, not the updated one. I’m guessing they either need to figure out how to get their server to stop caching data from their CDN, or change the way they have things set up in Cloudfront”
Give this a try:
1.) Log in to your WordPress site
2.) Go to PowerPress >> Settings >> Website tab >> Blog Posts & Pages; check the box next to “Display subscribe links below player and media links.”
3.) Click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page
4.) Clear any site caches, if applicableSee if the subscribe links appear underneath the player after that.

In reply to: [PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry] How is the Player Added to a PostHere’s what they had to say:
“Inside powerpress.php, there’s a function called powerpress_content that adds the player to the post. It gets added to the filter ‘the_content’ with priority 10.”
Thanks for the clarification. I’ve asked the Blubrry dev team to look into this. I’ll post another message here as soon as I get something back from them.

Thanks for the clarification. Each destination has a couple checkboxes under the destination URL field. If you look at the Apple Podcasts setting, do you see any checkboxes currently checked that aren’t also checked for Spotify (or any other destinations not appearing under the media player)?
@larryswanson When I look at the link you provided, I am seeing subscribe links for Apple Podcasts and RSS underneath the media player.

The W3 validator will never validate a modern podcast RSS feed. Try a different validator like Cast Feed Validator or Podbase.
