I downloaded wordpress via softaculous. So I am basically able to do just about everything I want before customization from URL/wp/wp-admin.

I have created category pages and added them to my nav bar. So, I will be adding different content for each category page. This is easy.

I am just worried that when I change the site URL from URL/wp to URL I will have trouble because I am using category pages instead of pages. Is this a problem?

Ya, doing this now. Would it be a problem when I convert my wordpress site to my domain?

Or can I get my categories to go to the top bar?

Not the same stuff. Say I have 3 different sections to my website and I want to post 3 different types of content in a, b, and c. I want to have the ease of posting, but I want to be able to do that on 3 different sections. For example, a page for dogs, a page for cats, and a page for horses. Idk. But, I want the content to be specific for each section within the same website and I still want to be able to use the post feature.

HOLY COW! I owe you an apology! I changed my permalinks settings to custom structure and left it blank when I was initially setting up my website. I just changed it back to default and its working like i expected. I knew it couldnt be that hard!

Why doesn’t Shareaholic send the post image when I share articles on Facebook?
This is NOT a Shareaholic problem. Facebook does link sharing a little differently than most other services. Facebook expects the Title, Description, and Thumbnail of a shared page to be defined in the actual HTML code of a shared page. Unlike other services, Facebook does not accept the values you have set for your Shareaholic sharing widget. To change the title, description or image on Facebook, you will need to modify your theme.

Try running Facebook’s URL Debugger tool on your pages to see how Facebook is reading your site.

To change the title, description and/or image on Facebook, you will need to modify your theme’s header file according to Facebook’s Open Graph specification. With WordPress, this can be accomplished with plugins like the All in One SEO Pack plugin. Please see that plugin for details, and post in the WordPress or plugin author’s forums for more support

Did you try and change the directory from URL/wp to URL?

I want to do this with the sharing options if possible. Do i need to write a plug-in? Doing this with the facebook developers info is pretty easy. But, of course, that wont give me the other share button options like twitter or email.

Read the title. How do you post to more than one page?

Specifically, I want to post a youtube video. I also want to have a facebook like button just below that embedded video. How would I link the like button to the youtube video?

I’ve just realized it is liking the page that I am on. But I still don’t seem to be able to like the specific post.
