Hello @kainelabsteam,
It’s helpful to have insights into the possible causes, even if they’re assumptions.
I understand that this issue might be beyond your control due to compatibility issues between WordPress and certain YouTube videos. Your ongoing research is much appreciated, and I’m hopeful that a solution can be found.
Thank you.
Hello @kainelabsteam,
Thank you for acknowledging the issue.
Just to clarify, when you mentioned low resolution, are you referring to the video’s quality? It’s worth noting that the video you shared, despite being in 720p resolution, is generating the preview as expected. However, the video I provided, which boasts a higher quality of 1080p, is unfortunately not generating the preview.
I hope this clarification helps in diagnosing the issue more accurately.
Hello @kainelabsteam, here is one of YouTube videos that I found is not generating a preview:
Hello @kainelabsteam,
I have tried various YouTube videos, using both full format and short URLs, and the results have been quite inconsistent. Some videos showed preview for both formats, some neither, and for others, only one of the formats showed the preview.
Hello @kainelabsteam,
The URL Live Preview option in the Yozuify Panel >> Wall Settings is already enabled.
I attempted to post a status with a Vimeo video, and that worked seamlessly. However, I encountered an issue specifically with posting YouTube videos.
No worries, @kainelabsteam. I’m currently using the free version of Youzify, version 1.2.5.
Additionally, I’ve verified that the ‘Video’ post type is already enabled in the Youzify Panel under General Settings > Wall Settings.
Hello Team,
Thank you so much; that worked.
Hello Team,
Thank you for confirming. I’m looking forward to the update with the fix.
Hello Team,
I’m currently using Youzify version 1.2.4 of the free version.
You can find the recording at this https://drive.google.com/file/d/1li2Xwu95wwTdzmY1Y2SYxFiHvO34cOhI/view?usp=sharing.
Hello Team,
I’ve followed the steps provided and observed a few behaviors.
- The first observation is regarding an error that appeared on the top and bottom of the page when the Twenty Twenty-Four default theme was installed with all plugins activated (except the caching plugin). Here’s the link to the screenshot of that error https://ibb.co/ypW3ZtT. It’s worth noting that the issue persisted at this time.
- The second observation is the same error (linked above in the first one) occurring when switched to the default theme with all plugins deactivated except BuddyPress and Youzify. The issue persisted at this time.
- The third observation was made when all plugins were deactivated except BuddyPress and Youzify, with a non-default theme activated. No errors appeared on the front end, but the issue persisted.
- Lastly, the only times the issue was resolved was when the Youzify plugin was deactivated, with only the BuddyPress plugin activated. This fix applied both with and without the default theme activated. Additionally, when all plugins were activated except Youzify, the issue was again resolved, with and without the default theme activated.
Hello Team,
I am currently using the latest versions of BuddyPress and Youzify, and I do not have the BP Classic plugin installed.
I have configured the Default Tab to ‘Overview,’ and the Permalinks are set to ‘Post name.’ Despite these settings, the issue still persists.
Hello Team,
I’ve reviewed the widget settings, and everything appears to be in order; no changes have been made. Additionally, I experimented with another widget, ‘Search,’ and noticed that it, too, has lost its styling and now looks quite raw. Here’s the link to the screenshot of both of the widgets https://ibb.co/n6Kfmcj
Hello Team,
Thank you for your prompt response. The recent update has addressed the issues effectively. However, there is a peculiar style problem with the BuddyPress Featured Members widget; it appears quite misaligned and compressed to the left after the update.
Hello Team,
Regarding the issue on the Appearances → Widgets page, currently only two widgets, ‘(BP Follow) Users I’m Following’ and ‘(BuddyPress) Latest Activities,’ are visible under Available Widgets. The rest of the screen is blank. Additionally, clicking on these two widgets does not result in any expansion.
Moreover, whenever I visit the Widgets page, I receive an email stating that ‘Your Site is Experiencing a Technical Issue,’ with the error details outlined below:
An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 206 of the file /abc/xyz/public_html/wp-content/plugins/bp-classic/inc/templates/classes/class-bp-classic-templates-nouveau-latest-activities.php. Error message: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function bp_nouveau_get_activity_filters() in /abc/xyz/public_html/wp-content/plugins/bp-classic/inc/templates/classes/class-bp-classic-templates-nouveau-latest-activities.php:206 Stack trace: #0 /abc/xyz/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-widget.php(535): BP_Classic_Templates_Nouveau_Latest_Activities->form(Array) #1 /abc/xyz/public_html/wp-admin/includes/widgets.php(276): WP_Widget->form_callback(Array) #2 /abc/xyz/public_html/wp-admin/includes/widgets.php(60): wp_widget_control(Array, Array) #3 /abc/xyz/public_html/wp-admin/widgets-form.php(456): wp_list_widgets() #4 /abc/xyz/public_html/wp-admin/widgets.php(34): require('/abc/xyz...') #5 {main} thrown
Furthermore, I followed your suggestion and installed the Classic Widgets plugin, but unfortunately, the issue persists.
Hi @kainelabsteam and @expan,
Thank you for your prompt response.
I am currently using the free version. As previously mentioned, I have already installed the BP Classic plugin. However, with both the BP Classic and Youzify plugins activated, I am encountering an issue where the Widgets page does not load properly, making it impossible to edit. Additionally, the theme customization page exhibits the same problem, preventing any editing actions. These issues were initially outlined in my original post above. Interestingly, when I deactivate the Youzify plugin and keep the BP Classic plugin activated, these issues no longer persist, and everything functions normally.
