In reply to: one double and single line – what are they?Thank you – I must have tried border: 0; earlier on which is why it didn’t work. border-bottom: none has done the trick.
Kind regards
Sharon
(anyone any ideas about the single line?)

In reply to: Background really odd possibly because of line height?I downloaded GIMP at the charity I volunteer for, so I might have a good look at it.
Thanks all.

In reply to: Background really odd possibly because of line height?Ha – how stupid can I be?? Thank you Xara for your wonderful white borders (not!!). I’m going to crop it in another program now.
LOL about this though!! Stupid me!
Thanks everyone once again. Can anyone recommend a reliable image editing program?

In reply to: Background really odd possibly because of line height?Paul that’s really weird, its now just colour and there’s no stripe….I wonder why it was striping as an image? Just for info, does anyone know?

In reply to: Background really odd possibly because of line height? There isn’t a stripe in the png image though. I will try background as a colour and see what happens.
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFfantastic!!! Thanks Andrew!!!
I always seem to venture the long way around.
Thanks Andrew I’ll have a fiddle around with that and see how I go.
I think 2012 is fantastic by the way – its almost a blank canvas, and thus its much better to try and get to grips with.
Looking at the page source, it reads <body class=”page page-id-23,
therefore might it be something like body.page page-id-23.site-header {
image background etc etc?} I tried something along those lines earlier on however I don’t think I could have got it quite right, and that’s why it didn’t work. Any extra help would be appreciated. Thanks
Thanks Andrew, but I’ve been using the Firefox Developer add-on to try and achieve it. If I give you the link to the test site –
https://1064056153.test.prositehosting.co.uk/news-and-events/wings-roundels-and-flights/
that is what it looks like now with the conditional code given above.
Tomorrow morning I shall re-do the css to the .site-header and you can see what I am trying to achieve per page – would that acceptable to you? Thanks
Though on second thoughts, how do I get hold of the .site-header of the page 23 using css via body tag? I have been trying to fiddle around with that way of doing it also. Thanks again
