Thank you for your plugin and thanks for your response. Our forums are behind a private client portal and we’ve decided not to use that functionality now. If we change our mind again I’ll reopen this ticket.

ok.. i worked out the format needs to be YYYY-MM-DD but now the form is saying failed to send :/

yes obviously :)That’s the problem.
I need the solution. What should the format be? Do I remove the placeholder?
This is how the form came coded with the theme.
I’m not a plugin or theme developer so I don’t understand the code.

I know there are lot of plugins out there for Mailchimp and the like but I’m after something for an inhouse service so it should be configurable to ANY proprietary platform.

Here is an example of the the link they supplied for the form action:
lnk.abc.com?fname=<firstname>&redirecturl=abcthankyou

and when someone completes a form and presses submit i want it load the url post it and redirect to the thank you page .. it seems just like when you add a mailchimp link to a mailchimp plugin.

I think this could even be done as a text widget with a normal html form? but I’m not sure how to set it up with those variables above.

?? Problem solved. I didn’t realise the events plugin gave the option to choose a page template from the theme. Easily fixed.

Bumping this because the host has taken care of the permissions etc but I’m still not able to update plugins from the WP admin.

Strangely enough, one plugin that comes with the WP installation by default but is not activated, updated with no problems.

The message is usually Could not create directory or Could not remove old directory and then the plugin is no longer visible in the Installed Plugins.

Need help with this desperately ??

That’s the strange thing.. no new plugins or themes. I was simply working on the site. The blog posts were there, I replaced some and added new ones, clicked on the News menu to test it and got the 404 ??

Some plugins I have been able to ftp and some not.

Hopefully this will allow the updates to happen from the wp admin.
Unfortunately my superior who will need to check the permissions is unavailable for a few days.

However, he has previously advised me the permissions are the same as the development site which works perfectly so I’m at a loss.

I think it’s worth paying a yearly subscription to Sucuri.net who can clean your site up quickly then monitor it 24/7 = no worries. I had similar problems with repeated attacks on tmdhosting and after many tears, even after ‘hardening’ the sites as suggested above, i now just leave it up to the professionals to look after ??
