In reply to: [ShareThis: Free Sharing Buttons and Tools] http to httpsWe have resolved the SSL related issue in our latest release of the Plugin.
Regarding the button place placement, please note that it is not possible to change the button position using ShareThis Plugin.
You will have to implement the ShareThis code manually to your site, so that you can place the code and show the buttons exactly where you want them to appear.
You can get the code form here – https://www.sharethis.com/get-sharing/

In reply to: [ShareThis: Free Sharing Buttons and Tools] http to httpsHi Lance,
If the user has implemented “WordPress HTTPS” plugin to make the Admin panel SSL enabled, then in that case domain mapping is required. The option is present in that plugin only.
Please let us know if you have any other plugin for SSL or you have made the entire site SSL enabled. Please provide the site URL.

In reply to: [ShareThis: Free Sharing Buttons and Tools] Unistall and DBHey Frederic,
Is the issue resolved? Please feel free to contact us know if you are facing any issues with ShareThis.
In that case, could you please check the other installed plugins, one of which might be conflicting with ShareThis Plugin.
You can try it by deactivating other installed plugins.Yes, it is an issue in caching the images at Facebook’s end and we don’t have any control over its behavior.

Could you please provide the error screenshots so that we can further investigate the issue.

In reply to: [ShareThis: Free Sharing Buttons and Tools] Large image size for FB shareWe have checked your site, it seems that Facebook is sharing a proper image, but as we can check you have added multiple “og:image” tags and hence Facebook Debugger is giving error messages like –
“og:image was not defined, could not be downloaded or was not big enough. Please define a chosen image using the og:image metatag, and use an image that’s at least 200x200px and is accessible from Facebook. Image ‘https://www.markramseymedia.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/cardashboard-1024×576.jpg’ will be used instead.”
You can read the warnings and errors –
https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.markramseymedia.com%2F2015%2F05%2Fhow-many-cars-will-be-dashboard-powered-by-google-and-apple%2FWe suggest you to keep only one Meta image tag so that Facebook would crawl only one image.
Hope this helps.Hi,
Please note that Facebook’s behavior is a bit different. It crawls the page to get the data to be shared and for that it uses Open Graph Tags present on that page. And if it finds any URL specified in Open Graph tags, then it crawls that URL page and grabs the data to share. This is the native behavior or Facebook and cannot be changed.
You can specify the Title, image, URL or description using the Meta tags only.
Know more about Meta tags –
