In reply to: Windows server infinite redirect after upgrading to 3.1Every time I log into my dashboard and see 3.1 still listed as “lots of fun” on the WordPress Development Blog (with no revised inkling of what so many people actually experienced with their sites after they upgraded to it unless you look at the support forum) makes me wary of trusting that blog as a source of an accurate depiction of new versions of WordPress. Hopefully there aren’t any more unsuspecting people who haven’t upgraded yet choosing that as their impetus to do it.

In reply to: Windows server infinite redirect after upgrading to 3.1I wonder if this post about running wordpress on windows server and issues of permalink structure explains what was happening in 3.1 for us sites hosted on Windows Server.
https://www.3plains.com/support/wordpress-on-a-windows-server/the plugin fix worked on my site but I look forward to the 3.1.1 when this is fixed more permanently.
I wonder if offering to beta test would be wise in my case where I am pretty amateur in my knowledge of these things and our site is the only WordPress site of its kind being hosted on our Windows server almost for free (a nonprofit network administrator for public libraries in Massachusetts).
I do hope testing on Windows Servers is more carefully considered in future versions.

In reply to: Problem displaying RSS feedsI just updated to 2.8.4 and an RSS widget that I display a calendar of events feed now pulls in the last three upcoming events in the next week instead of the next three events from the Calendar. It used to work right with version 2.7. Any thoughts on why it’s going in descending date order from a week ahead backwards?

RSS calendar from an external site pulled in on left sidebar column skipping the actual next three events in the feed.
