It would be useful if this plugin is added to its own admin menu and not just under post.

    Hi @samjco

thanks for your suggestion, I’ll keep it in mind for the next plugin update. I’ll add the option in WP settings page, so you as a user can decide wether you want the extra admin menu item or not.

    Greetings Felix

    Hi @samjco

version 1.0.4 includes the option. Navigate to “Setting > Writing” and you have the suggested option in the “Extended Post Status” section. Hope you can work with that.

Yes, it makes a lot more sense to remove EPS from the Posts submenu, as its scope is larger than Posts. Ideally, it’d just be in the better location by default, rather than requiring an awkward config.

However, I’d also suggest it’d be better just as a submenu item in the wp Settings. It’s a great plugin, but I’m not sure it needs to be top-level. Or, if it remains as a top-level item, perhaps change the label to something more specific, like “Custom Statuses” or “Extended Post Status”. Just saying “Status” is very general, and could imply it’s about the “status” of the entire site.

    Hi @tzeldin88

never thought about that “status” of the whole site thing. Makes absolute sense! I will just put the whole thing in the settings menu. The current location in the posts menu is a result of the development of the plugin. The early version of the plugin only considered posts and pages (anyway the position in the posts menu also back then was not a great choice).

The option to move the status to the main menu will remain untouched, so just the default position will change!

I will fix this soon, thanks for the feedback.

    Greetings Felix
