I was same issue. but I solved this issue, actually this is not an issue, anyway this is very essay to show author on your product by this

<a href="<?php echo get_author_posts_url(get_the_author_meta('ID'));?>"><?php echo get_the_author() ?></a>

then you must select an author from a product, that’s it.

I had same problem. But I fixed this issue. So, You have to go in woocommerce plugin -> template -> single-product -> variable.php (delete this), Hope it will be work.
