In reply to: [Spun] Homepage doesn't use the index template anymoreNevermind, found it. For some reason wordpress had set static front page to “Home” (which didn’t even exist) and that messed everything up. It’s all good now. ??

In reply to: [Spun] Homepage doesn't use the index template anymoreAnother thing I’ve noticed that two pages were miraculously added, one called “Blog” (which I already) deleted and one called “Home”, but when I delete that one, the website doesn’t function anymore. ??

In reply to: [Spun] Login form into a postI think my website works differently than yours. I only want colleagues to be able to register and I can add them myself as WordPress users, so I don’t need a registration form. I assume you want the possibility for people visiting your site to register, right?
Maybe this helps?

In reply to: [Spun] Login form into a postYou don’t see the Admin page anywhere?:
Admin Page screenshotHmmm, weird. It works perfectly fine on my website.

In reply to: [Spun] Login form into a postI’m sorry but I’ve already uninstalled WP Members. In my case the settings for Page Restrict are under Settings -> Page Restrict in the WP Dashboard. When you click that, a screen should open that allows you to restrict specific pages and posts and which message people should get when they’re not logged in.
Did you activate Page Restrict or only install it?

In reply to: [Spun] Login form into a postYes, Page Restrict for instance will give you a list of the pages of your website (and I assume posts as well, but my site doesn’t have any) and you can just select whichever one you want to hide behind a login form.

In reply to: [Spun] Login form into a postI tried the Page Restrict and WP Members plugins. Both seem to be doing the trick (at least for me).

In reply to: [Spun] Assistive text in header and Google descriptions resultOn a sidenote: the assistive text also seems to be the reason that there is a menu button in the mobile devices version of the website, which I would also like to get rid of.

In reply to: [Spun] Assistive text in header and Google descriptions resultI’m pretty sure Google did crawl since I optimized my site (about a week ago), because it did change the description to the one I added with WordPress SEO. It looks like Google only adds the “Menu. Skip to content.” for the homepage description and not for the subpages.

In reply to: [Spun] Assistive text in header and Google descriptions resultThanks, that’s the plugin I’m currently using, but for some reason Google results reads:
Craig Cameron Lab. Menu. Skip to content. Website about the members and research of the lab of Craig Cameron, PhD, at The Pennylvania State University.
And I would like to get rid of the “Menu. Skip to content.” in the description.
Sorry about the messed up link, but clicking the blue text should still redirect you to the website. ??

In reply to: [Spun] Circles on pages behave differently from main page. The magic key combo. ?? I’ll try to find out how to do that (at this moment I have no clue), so far I could find a lot using Google. I’ll let you know if I got it to work.

In reply to: [Spun] Circles on pages behave differently from main page. Thanks Caroline for the quick response, I kinda expected that it would be hard to tell. I’m using Firebug to see what happens and why it happens. Didn’t figure it out yet, but I did find that line 766 of the CSS is not listed for the submenus. This is the code:
.blog .hentry a .attachment-post-thumbnail, .archive .hentry a .attachment-post-thumbnail, .search .hentry a .attachment-post-thumbnail { border-radius: 180px; filter: grayscale(100%); -webkit-filter: grayscale(100%); -webkit-filter: grayscale(1); /* Older versions of webkit */ -moz-filter: grayscale(100%); -o-filter: grayscale(100%); -ms-filter: grayscale(100%); /* IE 10 */ filter: gray; /* IE 9 */ filter: url('inc/desaturate.svg#greyscale'); /* Firefox */ opacity: .8; -webkit-opacity: .8; -moz-opacity: .8; transition: all .3s ease-in-out; -webkit-transition: all .3s ease-in-out; -moz-transition: all .3s ease-in-out; -o-transition: all .3s ease-in-out; -ms-transition: all .3s ease-in-out; width: 100%; height: 100%; z-index: 1; }
I’m thinking that the solution might be that I somehow make a class for the submenu pages and add that class here or am I completely off?
