I still don’t know what went wrong; tried changing the .htaccess file as suggested but it did not do anything. So for right now, my site still has the previous version of Customizr and I’m not going to update it until I know exactly how to fix it. I can’t keep having my website crash. If anyone has other ideas please let me know!

if I try the htaccess thing, is that through the file manager, or the phpmyadmin? This part of site building is new to me.

OK, disabled all plugins (except maintenance mode)

Tried to reactivate new download of Customizr, theme broke again. This time I learned how to get back to my dashboard at least (tech support had me set it back to twentytwelve via phpmyadmin)

Just now, I activated a theme I had previously used and it broke again! Also tried activating the previous version of Customizr.. that broke too. No idea what is going on now :/

No, will do once tech support from my webhost gets my site back online!

Did it again!
-Changed my theme
-Deleted my install of Customizr
-Re-Installed Customizr
-Activated my Customizr child theme

At that point, when I clicked to activate the child theme, the site just… did nothing. Can’t go to my dashboard, etc.

I have the site in maintenance mode, so if you go to https://www.fscxcorp.com it brings up the maintenance memo. But, if you go to the login URL, it is just blank (google chrome) or HTTP 500 Internal Server Error (IE)

No, no message. It seemed to download and update normally, then the issue happened when I clicked the link to take me back to my dashboard.

Should I delete the current install of Customizr? Since I do have a child theme created, as long as I save that version, will I have to re-do any settings after I re-install it, or should I just be able to reactivate the child theme?

I don’t know what exactly I did, but suddenly the dropdown menus appeared ?? Thanks for your help ??

Think I may have figured it out!! I was previewing the site, and clicked on one of the blank “featured sites” spots… lo and behold, it brought up the Customiz’It screen with the “featured site” dropdowns!

Though it may be worth it to add, that I did take it out of maintenance mode to see if that made a difference with the featured pages– it did not.
