Create a new page named ‘Home’ or something like that. Then you will need to go to your admin panel and click on ‘Settings’ and then ‘Reading’. Near the top of that you will see ‘Front page displays’ with a radio button. Choose ‘A static page’ and then choose your ‘Home’ page from the dropdown.

Glad you got your problem fixed and offered a suggestion for others that may have problems with using this plugin. Maybe if you posted what steps you had taken someone could have helped you. I have a fraction of the experience level that you two appear to have and was able to set this up, style it, and send and receive successfully in about 15 minutes. I’m not sure why it didn’t work for you.
