In reply to: [Child Themify] Easy as 1, 2, 3…Hi John!
I just sent you an email for this same issue but maybe others will profit from your answer so I’m posting it here.
Your instructions above were so easy to follow. Thank you! I have gone as far as #3 successfully. That is, I have now created a child theme, and I’ve checked it out, it works identical to my live site.
Now…
I have a pending notification for a “Theme Update” but I’m afraid to just click it not knowing how to incorporate the child theme into the process.
Can you please guide me step by step as to what to do after I’ve created a child theme? — now that I’m ready to click on the “Update Theme” button?
Thank you! Hope to hear from you soon.

In reply to: NextGEN Gallery image browser – image too bigPS: Using WordPress version 3.5.1 and Minimatica Theme.
Thanks.
Hi TOSHI and Gabriella,
I did what you said (been doing that actually) but unfortunately there is no icon (“‘Add NextGEN Gallery’ icon”) that pops up.
HOWEVER, I scoured the internet and found this link in NEXT-GEN’s site:
https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/demos-of-all-nextgen-gallery-types/Find the shortcode of the style of slideshow or gallery you like then copy and paste into your post/page in the edit mode. Make sure you paste the shortcode into the Visual tab.
An ex. of a shortcode listed there is :
“[ nggallery id=X ] without space before/after brackets.”So copy/paste this —> [nggallery id=X] into your Visual tab. X is the id no. of the gallery you created. You can find it in Gallery/Manage Galleries. Click Update, then View.
I am finding the NEXT-GEN GALLERY plug-in behaves differently in different platforms. I am using CHROME and MINIMATICA THEME. So good luck. This works for me in the absence of that “INSERT” button. Good luck, Gabriella.
Thanks for your input though Toshi!
