Thanks for the update, Rudolph. Yes, that’s been my experience too–sometimes it works fine, and other times it doesn’t. And no one wants an unreliable backup.

Daniel, have you contacted the Zip program vendor to try to work out a solution? The errors may be on their end, and maybe the vendor can help solve them, or at least work around them.

I’m using Windows and FF30/31 and IE10, and it happens under all of them.

I figured out the circumstance. I was using “
” in the config box at the end of each line, to ensure that the meta data appears on different lines in the map. I followed those with line breaks to make it easier for me to read the contents of the option box.

The combination of the two breaks the map. I took out the
‘s, and now the map works.

FYI, looking at the JavaScript in FF’s debugger, I don’t see any
‘s where my line breaks were inserted, only where I typed them in manually. So you’re filtering code may not be working as you’d expect. I can’t tell from the debugger exactly which character(s) that pressing ENTER adds to the string.

But I was hoping to find out how to do it without a plugin, partly because I’ve searched high and low, and although I’ve found a few people asking the question, other than WordPress SEO, I haven’t seen any solutions, or even what file to modify.

I only see single location maps. How would I see the global map?

Any progress on solving this problem?

Thanks. I’ve found a different event plugin that does what I need.

There is no error log generated for this problem, and 45 minutes on the phone with my webhost wasn’t enough to solve it. I may just move on to a different plugin.

These work for me with the Salient theme:

Both on the single event page and in the event list widget, can the date range be listed rather than only the start date?
