Again, this is the free version of the gallery. So I just want to be clear here with this question. Do both the free version and pain version use the same compression algorithms? Or is the paid version better at optimizing for load times?

Ok so I have some more detail on this now. I just tried everything again and I have noticed that the watermark settings dont even seem to be applied. Every time I click Save after putting in the settings I want I am brought to a page that says “Error 404 – Not Found”. I am simply trying to apply a text watermark. Are there any known issues with this functionality?

I have updated to the latest and am still getting this issue. Every time I set the watermark settings and then hit save I am taken to an error page on my site and it would appear that the watermark is never implemented. Can someone please help me here. My site is https://www.tucman.com.

Frumph, I ended up going with your suggestion as it was fairly easy to just copy the html of the contents that I wanted to put in above the blog entries into a text widget that I added to the “above blog” section. However, I now have a couple other questions (both related to this effort) now that I have got this most of the way done the way I want it to look.
1) I was hoping to have the background white. However, no updates the the background color in the html seem to change anything using the widget. Would I need to change the background of this template to get it to have a white background? If so where would I update that?
2) Is there a way to shorten the Blog posts more so that its just a quick snapshot of the post and not the whole thing? I tried what I thought was setting it this way but apparently I was mistaken.
