In reply to: distinguishing the wp codeFrom my site:
Index
About page
You can see from that how I used the index.php to make the base for my about page. You can go one step further, and make it all includes. One common include for the header (css etc.) and one for the bottom of the page (what’s past the body content). That way, you just include, and go.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: Compared to Serendipity?heavier in the sense that it’s … more than what WP and MT are. MT and WP are mini-Content-Management-Systems; they do a lot, but not that much. They are ideal for personal sites etc.
s9y seems to be more like geeklog. larger, more complex. I dislike complicated admin panels too.Forum: Everything else WordPress
In reply to: Compared to Serendipity?From what I’ve seen on the site, they’re generally a heavier kind of system than WordPress. I moved from MT to WP myself and was able to get pretty much exactly the same features, and more.
I really liked that WP had the textile etc. all builtin. As we head towards 1.0, other niceties will appear, and WP will really be fleshed out. Also, WP is more mature than s9y from all outward appearances.Forum: Everything else WordPress

In reply to: Timezone Correction: Nightmare in the making*ahem* Would you like me to look into it?
This would only involve posts, right? That shouldn’t be too difficult. After storing in GMT, I’ll edit the display stuff, and make that autocorrect. This will add a tiny amount of processing time required (per post/day). Not more than 0.01s on a page with 50 posts though (i tested this sometime last year).Forum: Plugins
In reply to: GD Image thumbnailer for uploadsI’m impressed. It seems that no one is really interested in uploading images with thumbnails. Weird. Oh well.

In reply to: Difference between B2 and WordPressIndeed. They are improving WP at an amazing pace.
I get no output ;_;
I have uploaded the referrerlib as referrers-include.php, and in referrers.php:
<pre><?php
$list = topRefererList(5,”global”);
foreach ($list as $link){
print “- “.$link.”
“;
}</pre>
No output though :/ Using WP from CVS (2 days old now)Forum: Plugins
In reply to: more photo hackswhat is this obsession with ImageMagick? what can’t GD do that it can? There are so many hacks I can’t use cause ImageMagick is involved.
