  • I’ve been a Godaddy customer for 6 years and had a decent experience with them; especially with the WordPress blogs. I have had a few issues over the years (maybe 3) … the two I remember clearly was an external hack on a WP that I had started and let sit (so no WP or plugin upgrades) and another was a php exploit. I am not sure if the vulnerability with the 2nd was hosting or template; I do know that they fixed it immediately and offered advice … where they were not open to doing that in the past … something about thier now having a script that corrects the malware / hack issues. Could have been worse over 6 years and they have 24 hour support, so I am satisfied with them.

    Just tell Godaddy that it is a PHP exploit when you call. The yhave a script to clear it right up. You will then want to change your FTP password and review these docs https://help.godaddy.com/article/5612.
