Hello, same problem. I updated plugin today and my menu stopped showing my menu images and defaulted each menu item back to font.
I am using latest WP version 4.9.6. (The plugin update did clearly say it was not tested with my current version of WordPress, and I missed that before clicking update.)
For others that still have the issue, and need to resolve before developer posts the next update, I was able to add a plugin called WP Rollback, then click Rollback under this particular plugin and it replaced it with the earlier version I had before i did the update, thus fixing problem on my site and putting things back to the way they were.
