Just to clarify:

1) Features can be ported in most instances with Nathan Rice’s SEO Data Transporter.
2) There is a changelog on PRO – https://www.seoultimateplus.com/changelog/

and regarding the situation on maintaining the plugin, we are open to have developers join and support the FREE version, but, this is a plugin with hundreds of thousands of lines of code… and is not just a simple (does one thing solution) which is why we had to say if you like it, then upgrade.

We will more than likely bring back the free version, but, this was not a fickle decision and we shared this tool since 2008 without asking for a dime.

So, just be aware it’s not a simple program to create or maintain and that coding time does not grow on trees, it’s an expense ?? and yes, we did launch it as an all in one solution, but, with the ever changing landscape of WP plugin, updates and potential collisions between plugins… now more than ever you have to have a budget to stay on the vanguard.

So, all we’re saying is, enjoy the new features and go pro to help us make this plugin even better.

Thanks for your response, however, I think you missed the part about the all updates happening on PRO and not FREE version.

We’ve invested hundreds of thousands on coding this plugin and offering it Free since 2008, and that’s no longer an option, so, if you want to tweak the free version on yours, by all means do so, we’ve simply changed the model.

And, if you like it, then support it with a license and we will gladly fix this and any other glitches you find…(since that module was added in 2010) before the https issue was a big deal.

Hi Dave:

Typically under settings > reading > home page > you will need to select the home page from there so WP sees the page as the homepage. Then it will introduce it into the loop for all plugins, etc.

RE: I’m thinking in SEO/Open Graph+/ under “Enter Homepage Default Values” I would be able to change the og:type there, but cannot.

This is because if do not fill out OG info for a page (using the global or page settings) it becomes the global fallback for OG.

But, if you set the main homepage in WP, then you can add that info there. Otherwise, you can always use the page tab and complete the OG info there.

Have you tried using the Miscellaneous module and selecting this option?

You could also disable the add this module to prevent it from being added to the site. We could look into revising the code for the PRO version, but, the FREE version is being discontinued shortly.

I’ve never seen those values at 0 before.

Add quantities:

E.g.

x don’t add more than 5 autolinks per page/page
x don’t link to the same anchor text more than 1 time per page/post
x don’t link to the same destination / anchor more than 1 time per page /post

Try that, clear any caching plugins, then check.

Make sure you are not limiting the number of autolinks via the dampener in the content link settings tab of SEO Ultimate.

Also, use lower case int he autolinks input field and try again by deleting the old instance and saving it again…

See if that resolves it.

This may be a collision with another plugin or theme (so, to test for plugin collision, turn off other plugins, and then refresh and see which one makes the issue occur when you turn it on to diagnose).

Also, please be advised this was the last update for the FREE version as all future updates will be on the premium version… where we offer support as well.

Update and try latest version… in the meantime to see if it was from some code being deprecated as we did test the code in strict debug mode.

There should be no calls to any outside IP from SEO Ultimate. Please update and check your site with Sucuri plugin and / or please update to latest version (and let us know if the problem persists).

You can simply use the redirect requests for nonexistent pagination checkbox at the top of the Miscellaneous settings page to redirect them all.
