  • billh,
Is there a plugin for adding images anywhere on your blog?
Example: If i want an image in a post. Just drop it in.
: If i want an image in the sidebar. Just drop it in.
: If i want an image in my header. Just drop it in.
: If i want different text or an image between every post. Just drop it in.

I know that this can be done with hacks, but my problem is, what page do i edit? where do i edit?what do i edit?
This stuff is very new to me and i really don’t have a grip on the basics. mainly because all the help files are written towards somebody that already knows what they are doing.
    Can any one help me?

I wanted to bump this up. My question may be simple for some, but it’s got me stumped.

    Hi Avenir,
I enabled permalinks and tried to add my feed at Pheedo and got this:

    You entered: https://saeblog.com/feed
Pheedo could not find a feed at that address, Here’s a few reasons this may have occured:

    1. Did you enter the website URL or the feed URL? Please enter the feed URL (usually ends in .xml)
    2. Perhaps the URL is misspelled or mistyped. Please try again.

Any ideas what I need to do next?
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hi,
Keywords that I need to edit are page title, content, etc.
All the catagories that affect search engine indexing.
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hi Nuclear Moose,

It was a plugin. wp-advanced-stats. Too bad it didn’t work, looks like a good plugin for tracking site info.
    Thanks for your help,
    Steve

I found some more info on this:
    In the file wp_db.php
    h1>Error establishing a database connection</h1>
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at $dbhost.

    • Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
    • Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
    • Are you sure that the database server is running?
    • I checked my wp_config.php file and the db name, username and password are correct. The db server is running, I can go into my sql and check it.
      I’m stumped.
      Thanks,
      Steve

    Hi Raechel,
Your host should have step by step instructions on how to set up a SQL database. Go to your control panel and look for an icon labled SQL or My SQl. Click on it and follow the instructions.

Once you have created the database you can install WP.
Wp will ask you for some info:
You are probably running on “Local Host”
    Your server: yourdomain_com
Your username: yourdomain (unless you have changed it)
Your password: the password that you sign into your control panel with.
    I hope this helps you.
    Steve
