Thanks Shariful. They are MP4 files and encoded to be as small as possible whilst still retaining quality.

A lightbox would usually involve the user clicking to open the video and it being displayed over the top of the content, as far as I’m aware. Is that right?

These videos need to remain behind the content and titles on the page though. I’ll see what other plugins may be available but I think it’s something in the theme’s code that needs address.

Would there be something in the page’s loading sequence that recognises a mobile device and could be removed?

Thanks Lalix, disabling all of my plug-ins worked, allowed me to log in and then I updated and re-activated them all.

I can get in to my site, but something is still wrong…

I go to mydomain.com/wp-login.php, I enter my login details and it tells me the password field is empty. I can keep trying this over and over to no avail, but if after 1 failed attempt I go to mydomain.com, it shows me the WordPress admin bar at the top, and I am actually logged in.

it’s just the back-end login page that seems to be messed up. Anyone experienced this before or know what I should try?

    Thanks,

Thanks very much, I’ve been working through those and started taking steps to clean/secure things. I’m not sure how I go about implementing all the CSS customization to the clean theme again though, without just uploading the customized files from a backup – is that not just uploading possible infected files? Or is there a way to cleanly restore my changes?

If Sucuri is finding nothing is it safe to assume they didn’t get in?
Would you recommend the Premium version of Sucuri – will that effectively clean any possible break-ins from this week?

Awesome plug-in but I’m having the same issues. Don’t know when it stopped but just noticed it missing today. Coincidentally my other Instagram plug-in is also not working – so maybe this is something at Instagram’s end?

I’ve updated both and will be keeping an eye out for it.

Well less than 24 hours later and he’s back in – removed my Admin user and added his own again.

Will a clean install of WordPress be the only option to ensure he’s out? I can’t see how he’s getting back in once everything’s been changed, but then I know nothing about hacking. Any quick explanations?

All fixed! No worries, found a bunch of new pages under my theme’s directory, deleted/replaced necessary files with originals and we’re all set!

I looked into wp_users database entry, there was his new user ‘passw0rd’ which I deleted, and a new entry under a normal name, stating [email protected] as his email. Chucked his entry out too

I have now set-up a new ‘admin’ user and regained control of backend. Now where do I stand now I have all passwords changed? How do I go about getting the original pages reinstated? All original content is there but the domain still redirects to his hacked index.

Thanks for the help so far. It looks like he’s since reset the WP Admin login details though.

I still have FTP & database access so is my only option a new install?

Yep! Tried that, it was the same. Had 2 ‘?’ characters to remove from the first statement – got the same error upon importing.

I then found a thread stating that <wp:wxr_version>1.1</wp:wxr_version> might need adding in – this took me 1 step further, offered to import all post attachments.

It then confirmed they were all imported and told me to have fun! Still nothing in either database nor backend now though.

I did notice on a few similar threads that XML samples all showed a <channel> parameter whereas mine doesn’t have any mention of channels in.

No my admin area shows no posts, but they all seem to be sat there in the database.

I just tried importing again and got this:

“Sorry, there has been an error.
This does not appear to be a WXR file, missing/invalid WXR version number”

Hmm, well I’m using Curvo if that’s of any use. Not sure if it would be

    https://themeforest.net/item/curvo-horizontal-premium-wp-theme/406729?WT.ac=search_item

That helps in displaying the drop down for 2011-2015 but when choosing anything but 2011 it directs you to the index page.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

Anyone got any ideas how I can get my title back for my site, whilst not using this ‘Last WordPress Seo Plugin’?

    (@seedubb)

Hmm, I deactivated an SEO plugin I had installed today (in an attempt to add a page title) and the blog name disappears again.

I activate the plugin, and the name comes back with the underscore again.

I’ve deleted the name field in the SEO plugin’s settings. It is ‘Last WordPress SEO Plugin’

    Thanks jkudish!

    Both codes worked a treat!

Although there is an underscore showing before my blog’s name now, if I remove the name from in Settings there is still an underscore. I’ll take a look into the code for a stray _

    Cheers!
