    Hi, thanks for your interest.

Currently does not support scan scheduling, but I am preparing version 2 including this feature and others like re-run a finished scan.

No plans for widgets, but I think is a good idea for next versions to select an scan allowing to show in a dashboard widget. I will consider it.

    Kind regards,
    Pau

I can assume bad reviews about the plugin, not about an outdated description.

I have more plugins with occasionally bad reviews, and other projects not only here in WordPress with poor rating, I do not feel it personal and is Ok, very rarely I discuss because the user is usually right about the problems detected.

This plugin has a lot of defects, a lot of missing features, and a long way to improve and discover new failures.

This is a criticism about the way you have used to notice the lack of plugin description. I think it is not generous and ignores all the developer effort because you could have notified this fact without further instead of writing a bad review.

Why not a message like “Hey, do not be lazy, update the plugin description explanining these issues”?

About your answers I think you are right in all the cases, it is simple irony by my side to highlight that this is not the way, I did not expect detailed answers, but I’m glad if I caught the eye.

For me bad reviews is generally something positive! Means that my work needs improvements or just I did a bad job. At the end it is good for me and for the users and helps me to improve the code.

But if any present or future plugin incompatibility will generate a bad review because it is not explained in the plugin description, not just for me, in general, then the situation does not help anyone.

    Kind regards,
    Pau Iglesias

Ok, I got it, that way does not help me and help others,

so the developer does not matter in all of this process, right?

so it is necessary a angry post and bad review as a punishment focused about your lost hours, not about the plugin quality, right?

then you does not need support, but you found the solution in the support forum, right?

Sorry, this is crazy. If the plugin is bad, please enter a bad review, I can assume it. But a bad review because an outdated description. Oh yes, that is the way for a free plugin with free support to encourage the developer.

And why two starts? Why not one star then?

As I said, a short message would have been enough.

There are about 50.000 plugins in WP.org repository, do you want to help me to test the compatibility with all of these plugins before it will cause more problems and waste of users time?

    Thanks,
    Pau

A short message in the support forum would have been enough. I don’t like your tone of punishment, that way does not help. Anyway I will update the plugin description.

Hi, sorry for reply late, I had problems with WP.org support notifications.

Yes, it is possible that the URL of the extracted links does not support special chars, depends of the content encoding or sometimes about how is encoded the URL when is prepared for the URL check.

Thanks for your collaboration, I will keep in mind these issues for next versions.

    Kind regards,

Hi, sorry for reply late, I had a problem with WP.org support notifications.

It is not possible to remove or hide links from the results, but you can create an scan that only record 404 pages (or 4xx results), so any bad link will be detected.

The Pro version allows to hide certain results for scan, but it works locally per each scan. The only way is configure the scan detecting the expected results.

Hi sece43, thanks for your message.

The available actions for the content column (last column) are managed by WordPress, so if you press the “Trask” link, then after page reload the results will show the options “Restore” or “Delete permanently” for all the links of that entry.

Also you can retrieve the post or page from the Trash menu via the admin entries or page sections as usual.

Hi, that happens because the PHP version of your server is too old, you need to upgrade to recent PHP version.

Hi Charlotte, that can explain the issue, because we had problems with GoDaddy due restrictions for sites with HTTPS enabled and the cURL module (an internal server module used to make HTTP requests to check the links) for some hosting configurations. It seems that GoDaddy applies limits for this module via proxy or similar.

Sorry, it is a hosting-level problem and I think I can’t help from this point.

    Best regards,

Hi Charlotte, I have checked your site but externally nothing seems wrong.

Do you have any security or firewall plugin active? This is the main reason why an scan fail.

    Kind regards,

Hi cjbatson, thanks for your message,

    – It scan 1 thread by default, but no results is not an expected behaviour. What is your website address? To take a quick look and check if almost externally everything is Ok.

    – We have tried to put the focus on performance, the idea is not to prioritize the crawler activity ahead of real visits. With that in mind this plugin does not perform massives pre-process database queries or updates, and does not execute large script processes to avoid busy serving requests. And yes, you can execute an scan during low-traffic times, but it is not necessary.

    – Pro version provides extended search filters and the possibility to edit the post content links directly from the search results without using the WP editor, including bulk edit mode for most cases.

Hi Doug, thanks for your message.

Probably something is blocking the crawler. To take a look, what is your website address?

Just one question, do you have installed any firewall or security plugin?

We have problems with Wordfence firewall module, and All In One WP Security & Firewall plugin and its Brute Force module.

    Kind regards,
    Pau

Hi Alexandre, thanks for your message.

Currently the scans are for one single use, when a scan end the idea is to have a snapshot of the links status in that moment.

But you are right, it is a good idea to duplicate scan settings or re-scan and check for differences, I will keep in mind for next versions in addition with other features like scheduled scans.

    Kind regards,
    Pau

Hi, Visual Composer I do not think is the problem.

About Wordfence, you need to deactivate their Firewall module (even temporarily). Go to the Wordfence menu Firewall, and from the Firewall Status pick Disabled and click the save button. After the scan is complete, you can activate the firewall again.

    Kind regards,

I can’t reproduce here the exact URL, it is an issue about how is encoded the URL in the post using & instead & notation, I will check this exception in next version.

    Thanks,
    Pau
