  • I’m having the same problem EXCEPT that I don’t want to have content duplicated, I simply want to move the blog from one site to another.

I’ve changed the home page info in the “options” but I don’t know how to convince WP that it should access the new site instead of the old one.

There must be some place in the code that refers to the original site but I don’t know where it is.

    Thanks,
    Mary

Got it! The Troubleshooting section of the Blog by Email article notes this error, but when I looked at the the file in question I saw that the line in question already had an exclamation point.

Took a much closer examination of the code to find that there are two similar lines one of which did NOT have the exclamation point.

Am now getting my emailed posts.

So I am getting emails from my host with the subject line:wp-mail error
    and the message:
Ooops POP3: premature NOOP OK, NOT an RFC 1939 Compliant server

Does this mean that my host site does not support it? Or what am I doing wrong?

    Thanks.

I’m having the same problem – email doesn’t show up in my blog. I’m using the previous version of WP.

I’m using WP-Cron plugin. The reminder plugin sends me email so I know that WP-Cron is running, and the WP-Mail plugin is set to 15 minutes. but nothing is showing up.

I’ve read and re-read the setting up blog by email article but I’m still missing something. Do I need to add an author with the same name as the email user name?

    Thanks

It worked! Thanks for your help.

Well, I looked a littler farther on in the blog and find that the author’s name DOES display, but it shows up after the entry and underneath the “add comment” and date line.

I guess I’ll try to learn a little PHP on the fly and figure out how to reposition the date and author’s name to display under the title.

    Thanks for your quick reply.

    Me, too – sort of.

I’m using the previous version w ith the Blix theme. I tried editing the theme’s index.php as described above but still don’t see the author’s name.

Is this because I’m using an older version?
