How did you fix your problem? I am getting the same error code “no place reference for this location”.

I’ve been having a similar problem. I went ahead and removed the widget and then reinstalled it. Now when I search for my google business name it shows up, but it doesn’t place my location ID (nothing happens when I click on my business name). I can select other business names and it will populate the business name correctly.
