In reply to: [WP-FacebookConnect] [Plugin: WP-FacebookConnect] Multiple IssuesThe second error is probably due to conflict between the two plugins; wpbook and wp-facebookconnect, I have no suggestions for it.
The first one can be solved by first logging out of facebook then logging into wp using admin and setting the facebook created user (your account fbN) to administrator previlage. By this, even if you are logged into facebook, you are still the admin of your site (eventhough actual ‘admin’ is not logged in)Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: New install works in Firefox but not IEIf it’s IE6, then its better to ask your client to upgrade his browser.
Did you check in the core files, what are the codes in the lines that is highlighted in the above two files and in the line numbers? You might get an idea yourself. If the files aren’t there, consider reinstalling the core.

In reply to: Non-Direct FTP accessI recommend deleting your old core files and doing a fresh install of WP3 at the folder
yoursite.com/htdocs/
. I didn’t formally understand the 4th point of yours. Anyway, auto-installers are just waste of time. If you need some help in installing, feel free to ask me.Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Permalink settings are not available in WordPress 3.0Hi Mario,
When the page seems blank, it means either you have not copied that properly or it is corrupted. If you can do a reinstall of the core, it should help. If you have done reinstall already, and still find problems with permalink, you can perhaps post a screenshot or else here.Forum: Everything else WordPress
In reply to: What is the point of subscribers?“Subscribers” are the ones who has just registered to your site. They can see the dashboard (not like how admin sees it), comment on your site without entering name and email every time, etc. It’s upto you to what to do with them. You may make them editors, authors, or make them the admin!
Subscribers are the lowest in level, so potentially it does not make any difference to your blog, except consuming a few lines of database.
Simple method is core-reinstall. Maybe a few files aren’t copied or are corrupted. Reinstall mostly helps such cases. As this is local installation, there shouldn’t be any damage. Try it

In reply to: Index of /wordpress/blogThere is a folder named “blog” in the your wp installation which seems under
domain.tld/wordpress/
. You can either delete or rename the folder manually via FTP or cPanel or simply rename the page’s slug using wp dashboard to “blog-2” or something else. Hope that helps.
