Update, for anyone who’s facing the same issue:
In the VT you can pick from two types of description: “text” and “HTML”.
The issue described above occurs with the “text” type. As a workaround you can switch the type to “HTML” type and simply put your text there.
Anyways, if Stratum decides to look into this, I think it still might benefit a few people.
A little extra info:
Things that didn’t solve the issue were
- de- and reactivating the widget in the Straum settings
- de- and reinstalling the entire Stratum plugin
