WordPress.com sent me over here. But I’m going around this a different way. I went through and changed each person on the articles individually. Now I’m just going to go through and upload pictures per article. It’s a long way to do it, but it’s quicker at this point than the alternative.

I just discovered there is a way to go through and manually change authors. So I guess I’m going to do it that way and hope I remember who did what. And I’ll go through each post and save an image and upload it as a featured image. It’s a long process, but I it’ll probably be quicker and safer than me trying to figure out what all of this super complicating stuff means.

There is a lot of terminology and actions there I do not understand. How do I find the wp-config.php? How do I edit it so that my contributors and images swap over? Are things like cpanel, directpanel, etc third party software I have to install to do this? The codex speaks as though I should already know what that is and have access to it. I do not. What’s a good one for beginners? It doesn’t look like this is something beginners should be doing at all.

I literally learned what an SQL is about 12 hours ago and on the wordpress.com help site they say they do not have the ability to download those from wordpress.com blogs. Only xml files (learned that term about 10 hours ago). Is it possible to download my SQL file/database from my wordpress.com blog and move it over to my www.remarpro.com account hosted through GoDaddy?

The main thing I want to do is be sure all my authors are contributed correctly. Right now they are all attributed to me and that’s not fair or correct at all. I can go the long way about getting the image situation fixed, but I need my authors to have their articles attributed to them.

I have also noticed that all of my links now direct to the homepage instead of individual articles. I’m not sure how that happened or why. I’m not sure if this is something that can be resolved with wordpress support or godaddy. I have a lot of internal links and a lot of social media blasts all over and this is hindering everything.
