In reply to: Visual Editor in 2.8 not letting me click on HTML tab? Thanks esmi. I had the same problem in 2.8 and 2.8.1 Renaming the plugins folder is what fixed it for me. I tried everything (except troubleshooting my plugins one-by-one) on this blog page. And I tried the plugin that this
person recommended. It worked, but the editor has too many buttons. I put these links here in case the suggested fixes work for someone else. Thanks sitepoint.com for your help!

Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: WP installed on server but domain not pointed to itTemp URL? Do you mean purchase an extra domain name? Only issue with that is all the SEO juice for those pages will go to that URL until the real site is changed over. If one does a search for the site or keywords, many of the listings point to the temp URL even after putting the real site up (I’ve experienced that before). Guess I can ask pages to be taken out of Google index via Webmaster tools. Kind of a pain but may be the only way it will work.
Sorry that was so long winded. Is that what you meant?

Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: What next? Can you steer me to the right knowledge base page for how to properly format the css? I’m sorry. It may seem obvious to you, but it’s not obvious to me where to find everything. There’s no search button and I can read for a couple of hours w/o finding what I need so I would appreciate that.

In reply to: What next?Just went there. I changed the index file to php. Do I need the other php files and the includes to make it work? Still getting Stylesheet is missing. I just wanted to upload files and work from there.
Also….didn’t see how to make theme current theme.
