    So, reading between the lines of the first paragraph, it is unlikely the website would be penalised by search engines (google, bing, etc.). Only if a person was looking for an item which was discontinued 3-4 years ago and stated as such, that a 404 might cause them a little inconvenience.

    It hasn’t grown rapidly, it was I noticed the little circle changed from green to orange since I went to the admin area. Hence, why I wondered if I should clear it.

    OK it was this table that needed changing

    “wc-admin-coupon-page-moved” I changed that one to actioned and it worked.

    I am amazed it wasn’t easier to fix for such a large organisation such as Woocommerce some of the responses above were not relevant to the issue and only after I mentioned MYSQL did I get a reply from someone who was able to offer some help.

    Hi,

    WooCommerce has been working fine until the update so I doubt it is conflict.

    I won’t use Chrome because of its poor privacy. Cannot use Edge because it won’t work on Apple systems.

    Can this be deleted via mysql? because it is driving us all insane.

    Thanks, the only issue with the plugin is the developers use it to advertise as per the image. They may be rubbish at support but that does not bother us what bothers us the intrusion into the admin area of the website. It appears to change from some weird image to a flash ‘sale’ badge trying to promote a premium version of the plugin.

    The only way forward is to delete WordPress because we are getting perplexed with the large amount of plugins that do the same.
    Advertising as per the image in the link or the large red highlighted plugin names within the admin menu distracts from a good application such as WordPress.

    Allowing developers to continue with this practice also reduces trust in the WordPress application thus pushing people, including ourselves, away from WordPress or having something developed in place of WordPress.
