For those of you having a hard time, you can’t leave the URL blank when creating, but after it’s in the menu, you can go in and change it. I got stuck trying to figure that out for a couple minutes. I’m kind of a code noob.

Just below line 741 in shortcodes.php add this:

'sort_column' => 'post_date',

That’s my first ever wordpress plugin hack!!! Woo me!!

But it would be REALLY cool if you made it into an attribute so you could choose the sort order from the list here:
