Thanks you so much! Yes, with plain permalinks it works perfectly.

I cannot get it work with any non ‘plain’ permalinks.

Using plain permalinks gives me warnings that our 301 Redirects and WP Rocket (caching) and importantly our Comlience plugins will not work, so I will need to fix.

Any thoughts on why our shop base ‘artworks’ stops the second page appearing? I have tried all the permalink combinations. I changed the shop page permalink and the issue remains unchanged.

Thank you so much for getting to this point mind! If I had have known it was the permalinks this could be a much shorter diagnosis.

Interesting, without deactivating any plugins and still using my normal theme, the issue is fixed?????

There are a few separate issues (that I doubt matter?):

1) some permalinks go back to the production site even though I have saved the permalinks .
2) many of the ‘product’ artwork images do not render or appear

I have created you an admin user if that will help? Need to know how to safely get that to you, if there is any risk.

I tested on the live site with twenty-twenty theme and all plugins deactivated apart from woocommerce and the issue remained. Explained that 2 days back and showed the results. Will using a staging environment be different?

Yes, correct. When we go to products via the artist page, 2nd page etc shows. It is only if we go from the ‘artworks’ page we don’t have page 2 etc.

Regarding cache, we use WPRocket. So I activated it, cleared the cache and deactivated again.

When did you see the last image with our main image? It does not show when using twenty-twenty? Does not show on my private cleared tabs.

Hi Austin. Thank you for the fast response. I checked the fatal errors and there is one, just it is from a few weeks ago and does not seem relevant. I have linked it here as the issue has been with us for a while. https://pastebin.com/WnPn4phd

As a sideline, we also display products for artists from their own page. That product page goes to page 2 and beyond OK. EG: https://screamingrooster.co.nz/john-clare/ and then bottom right is a ‘see John’s artwork’ button which when selected goes to https://screamingrooster.co.nz/product-tag/john-clare/ and ‘page 2’ works fine, as it does for all the artist pages.

Thanks so much for the help! Found a few days with ‘fatal errors’ as shown at https://pastebin.com/w5cMZYuP

We were having all sorts of issues with the site, fixed in the main by deactivating Async JavaScript after much troubleshooting. At the same time xtender (part of our Arte theme) needed updating, along with the theme.

So now we are super happy with the site, yet for the issue being discussed.

I went through my Jetpack Activity log and tried to note any significant changes made by date and listed at the top of each day on the pastebin file.

Sorry to send so much, like swamping!
