    I just read it, thanks.

There are a couple of options I could try there, like the phpmyadmin option or MySQL,
but I am not a very capable tech guy. I don’t know how to do the phpmyadmin, I can’t understand the instructions. The MySQL one I am afraid I will stuff it up, and still find it hard to read the instructions.

Besides, why would I be getting an error message saying the host may have disabled the email function? Is my host the server?

If someone is willing to help me through one of the above options I am willing to have a go. I want to fix this ASAP.

    Please..

    Thanks.

Now I have a major problem. I got the site back but a super old version. A months work is somehow gone?? No idea what’s happened.

I’m so funcking sick of this BS. I need a developer for a media platform. I am about to receive funding and need this done properly. I have been trying to make something myself to get by for now, but this has finished me. I am not a developer. I am great at what I do, but this is not it. Time for a Pro!

    Enough.

I tried adding the code but nothing worked.

The weird thing is that the html shows up in the browser but it looks like with no css. Even stranger is that whether the files are in the original folder in the root directory or in the new folder it still shows the html. So strange.

    Any ideas?

wp-Config.php is the first file I went to. I have gone back there now and found no code WP_SITEURL or WP_HOME. I am using the latest version of WP. This code seems to be only for 2.2. Is there a way to do this for 2.5?

Can I just add these commands to the 2.5 wp-config.php?

    OK thanks for that.
I found out the problem, but still can’t fix it.

I have created a new folder to put the WP files in. But I am using an addon domain. So what is happening now is that I have changed the url in settings and uploaded the files to the new folder, however the addon domain is not registering the new folder. So the files in the new folder aren’t being read, and when I try to log in to wp-admin it redirects me the the url or the folder I created that I changed in word press settings, but those files are not being read, so I am on a constant loop of redirect and not being able to log-in.

Is there a way to change the url through the files in ftp rather than through settings? If I can do this I will be able to fix this I’m sure..

Please guys help. I need to get this site back online.
