Thanks for working with me to get this solved, and sorry again!
I’ll start testing out WP Responsive Recent Post Slider right now to see if I can find an issue between the two. Thanks, you can put the site back to normal now.
1. Have you tried refreshing the cache of autoptimize? That may fix it.
Edit – 2. Are you only seeing the ‘critical error’ warning when the Donation plugin is active? Are you able to see the error log for what that error is?- This reply was modified 6 months, 4 weeks ago by Scott Paterson.

Looking now.
@jorgeletralia,
I’m available now – Pick a time that works for you and let me know.
Thanks,
ScottHi @jorgeletralia,
Sorry about that! Looking into now.
1. Does it affect your entire site? Or only the pages that have Donation buttons?
2. Is there a way you can enable the plugin so I can view your site and see what is causing the problem?
We just released a big update yesterday for the plugin, so I’ll be checking this thread every few minutes throughout the day looking for your reply.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Accept Donations with PayPal & Stripe] 403 Forbidden errorHi @g0ne,
This can happen when the your admin PayPal account is not correctly setup. Please double check / that you are in the correct mode (live or sandbox).
Let me know if you continue to have problems.
Thanks,
ScottHi @germanpearls,
Thanks for the question. This is actually a feature of the Pro version – it can send the email after successful payment. The free does not have this feature.
If you have any more questions regarding the Pro version, please send us an email here – https://wpplugin.org/contact/support-question/#form and we can help you out further.
Thanks,
ScottHi @terry777,
I think it might be related to your ReCaptcha plugin. Please try disabling it and see if that fixes the problem.
Please let me know if that does not solve it.
Thanks,
ScottHi @terry777,
- It should only be displayed on the PayPal page of the settings page. That message will go away after upgrading.
- Since PayPal Standard is now a legacy product, we probably won’t be removing the message anytime soon since we do want to remind people to upgrade.
Thanks,
Scott
Hi @terry777,
Sure, I can answer that for you. When our plugins switched from PayPal Standard to PayPal Commerce, we do now include a 2% transaction fee on top of PayPal fees for transactions processed through PayPal Commerce. This only applies to our free plugin, not our paid version, which has no additional fees. We did this because the PayPal Commerce integration required a significant amount of additional development work on our end to complete.
I hope this answers your questions. If you have any others, just let me know.
Thanks!
ScottHi @terry777,
All PayPal accounts should already have PayPal Commerce enabled by default. This isn’t something that you should need to do anything regarding, it should just be a part of your account already.
Please let me know if you have any more questions or problems.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Contact Form 7 - PayPal & Stripe Add-on] PAYPAL EXPRESS CHECKOUTHi @planeo8,
I’m sorry that you’re still having issues. When we’ve seen this issue come up with other users in the past, we asked PayPal to look into it, and it was determined that the user did not access to Express Checkout due to an account issue.
I’d love to track this down further. Do you have the contact info from the PayPal tech you have been working with? If so, can you share it with me so I can talk with them.
Please send it to: https://wpplugin.org/contact/support-question/#form
I really want to get this figured out!
Best,
ScottI just wanted to follow up with everyone know that this bug has been fixed in version 1.3.5 of the plugin.
