Okay, I take that back. Twenty eleven constrains header images to be exactly 1000 pixels wide. It would be nice (but probably out of scope) if there was a way to directly modify the theme header dimension requirements from some type of admin panel within the plugin. Nice job!

Thanks for the tip sickhippie. I never would have thought to change <? to <?php . It works great now for me too.
