The site owner installed it, and I honestly don’t know in particular what features they were looking for. As far as I know, nothing has broken function-wise while it has been disabled. ?? And we only have to disable it in order to run the wizard, once the content is created it doesn’t seem to matter if this plugin is enabled or not.

It is the latest version of WordPress (5.2.3, which is the latest as far as I know).

The issue isn’t with WordPress CORE, it is using the Gutenberg PLUGIN which is an early-access method of obtaining the latest Gutenberg enhancements before they are rolled into the CORE release.

If I disable that plugin, it works, but with that plugin activated the wizard is not functioning. Since eventually these changes in the plugin will be rolled into CORE it might be worth looking at. I am not expecting you to support developer releases as a general principal, but you might want to get this fixed before it becomes a part of the general WordPress release.

Just a note that the embedded content still works after the Gutenberg Developer plugin (v6.4.0 at the time of this post) is re-enabled, it is just the wizard for inserting the content that seems to be affected.

Interesting… I actually was playing and put it in the “Separate CCSS Cache URIs” box on the Optimize page, and that also seemed to make it work. So, which is better for performance? I would imagine having it cached but separate is better than not caching at all, right?

I tried this on the “Excludes” page by putting just that string “search_result_page.min.css” in the “Do Not Cache URIs” box, and it seems to have no effect. Is that the right place?

If you visit our bookstore page and do a search, you will be able to inspect how it injects itself into the results page. For example:

The CSS is:

It looks like the link tag is:

Yet when the optimization in the newer versions of LSCache are turned on, that CSS is not being loaded.

This was not a problem until a recent upgrade to LSCache, so something is behaving differently than it used to and is breaking however they are loading that CSS.

It is not resolved. I had replied, but I see my reply is not here, don’t know how it got deleted.

You can download and install the InstantSearch plugin yourself and test, it can be used without paying to demonstrate the problem.

This is not fixed.

From what I can see, they are including the CSS in a link tag, it is an external CSS file. What and where is that to be excluded?

This had been working fine until recent updates to LSCache.

Unsure what went wrong, but I deactivated and reactivated the WooCommerce plugin and I was prompted as I should have been. Update went without a hitch at that point.

Sorry, I was not familiar with how the plugins came to be on the site, they were there before I came on board so I didn’t realize they were the premium versions. Sorry for the confusion.

Sorry, I was pulled to other things for a bit… We purchased a full license for this, so now will be trying to move this back to the top of the stack. What is the best channel to start a conversation on this?

Just coming back, as I’ve looked at numerous other options ways of trying to do this, coming up blank. So this covers the need if they stay on the site, but need to find a way to purge leftover cart, especially with certain products in them. Any ideas anyone? ??

Sorry if I misunderstand you, but I’m not looking to get in touch with you about having you do a conversion for us, I am just looking for information and technical details, or to know if anyone had ever done it. If I misunderstand you, and you are simply trying to get more information to provide some tech specs/etc, then I apologize, and would be glad to get in touch about it. But I don’t want to take your time because at this time we aren’t looking to hire this out.

One item that stands out — this plugin has no “description” field for the wishlist? So I can create several with short names, but I can’t put a longer description as to what that list is for…

Quite a few of our users have put in longer descriptions for existing lists which would have to be simply lost I think. ??

Still looking, trying to also determine what the “formdata” is exactly and how it would have to be constructed for each possible case.
