Forum: WordPress Mobile App
In reply to: Certification issueThanks for the inputs but I have decided to not bother with the mobile app as I can easily do the required menu editing via phpMyAdmin when I am overseas.

In reply to: Certification issueThanks for the input. I started following your suggestions but was confused by the wordpress acount side.
I don’t want/need any of the “features” offered by such an account (apart maybe for the mobile access bit) and am concerned by the way it talks about connecting/transferring my domain.
I think I will survive with phpMyAdmin to edit my menu entries. I’m not overseas without a laptop that often.

In reply to: Certification issueBefore I give up on this app, how does one logout?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Cannot edit menus from android tabletThe certification issue turned out to be an android issue. Using a later version of android fixed that.
However, I cannot get the app to edit menus either. It seems to be very limited in functionality.
Until somebody fixes the browser(?) issue, I am falling back to manually editing the MySQL posts table with phpMyAdmin to change menu entries.

In reply to: Certification issueThank you. That does give me V25.4 ( of Mobile and Jetpack) but the post-login page is still the same as before: no Personalize section so I cannot edit menus. (That is pic.jpg above rather than pic2.jpg above.)
Also, I cannot edit my pages as it only supports block editor and I many of my pages include custom code/css which is not supported. Not even images can be edited.

In reply to: Certification issueAndroid version 7.0 with a kernel dated 24/11/20 fails certifjcation.
Android version 14 with a kernel dated 22/10/24 passes.
I cannot find version 25.4 of the mobile app on Google Play.
Where else can I look?

In reply to: Certification issueI have been told that my Mobile screen after login should look like this:
https://www.sdc.com.au/photos/pic2.jpg
How come this is so different from that in my previous post?

In reply to: Certification issueTurns out that this is an Android issue.
When I try with a later version of Android, I can successfully login.
However, there seems to be no facility to edit menus (or any other Appearance area).

In reply to: Cannot edit menus from android tabletTried again with my wife’s more modern tablet and was able to login without error.
Must have been an Android thing.
Bad news is that even though I can now login and edit pages and comments, there does not appear to be any way to edit menus – there is no Appearance option at all. Same with Jetpack.
Back to square one. I still need to be able to edit menus via an Android browser.

In reply to: Cannot edit menus from android tabletThere is still a problem at my host.
Login attempts from the app give:
Trust anchor for certification path not found.
I am talking to my host.

In reply to: Cannot edit menus from android tabletThere was an .htaccess block on xmlrpc.php so I turned that off (via WP Solid Security) .
There is now an SSL error which I have referred to my host.
Thanks again,
Stephen
