Hi,
cannot get links to work. No discernable pattern there.Deactivated new version, and went back to old plugin 4.0.10.
Because the capacity to exclude individual pages and posts is a must, otherwise I’ll have some very ugly & boring tweets.
(The new version does display ‘excluded pages’ in a block, but I suppose that is a dead remnant from the database and does not apply anymore. Please clarify.)But, if I understand correctly, V 4.0.10 uses the old twitter API?
Because now it cannot authorize with twitter. Checked code with bit.ly, that seems to be ok.So for now, no more tweets from my blog.
What I do not understand – why do you make a rewrite/update, and in fact, it has less features and is a downgrade?
Confusing…Do you plan to make these features (exclude individual posts & pages) available again?
Let me point out – this was one of the top plugins, very useful, and simple to configure. Now it’s useless, at least from my perspective.
So I’m not griping out of spite – I just lost an important functionality. And that hurts.
Hola,
let me clarify the issues:
1) When ‘post+pages’ is selected, it is possible to exclude categories of posts from being tweeted. But one cannot select pages to be excluded. It would make sense to retain that feature: not all pages are tweetable content.
To only tweet posts would mean relevant content in pages would have to be omitted.
Whereas before that it was possible to select individual posts and pages for exclusion, now it is not.
And it is exactly this flexibility which made your plug-in so useful.
2) Adding links to the tweets sometime works, sometimes not. I’m baffled.
A tweet without a link cannot really drive traffic.Hi again,
did some more searching.
Determined the problem to be in the ‘Gallery Settings’ option.
I choose to display 21 images per page to reduce load times.
That’s when the error ‘no images were found‘ is generated.
When choosing to display all images (=0), then all images are displayed correctly. But now pages are very slow to load!
That seems like a code error to me.
Please fix in your next update. Merci.Hi,
just did the double upgrade. Now running WP 3.6 and Nextgen 2.0.
All seems fine but when trying to view galleries on posts & pages, I get an error instead:
no images were found
Albums display fine (https://www.airboatafrika.com/see-airboats/)
and I can insert new gallery into a page, and access galleries via ‘Manage Galleries’.
So not a database issue?
Somehow Nextgen 2.0 cannot find galleries anymore.
Theme is Suffusion – 3.9.2.
Tried the usual deactivate/reactivate plugins and theme switch. That’s not it.
Any tips on what else I can check / modify?
Merci!Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Watu Quiz] Please go to "link" to view the testHi, trying the plugin before considering to go PRO.
Displays and work fine on a post.
On a page, I get the “please go to ‘PageLink’ to view the test”.
Even when Jetpack is deactivated, same problem.
Please clarify: does WATU only work on posts, not pages?
How about the PRO version – does it work on pages?
Thank You!OK,
tnx for feedback.
I have found a solution, and got a recommendation from someone else in the meantime. Since I solved the issue, I didn’t try the recommendation, but will keep it in mind…Solution I applied:
– Go into ‘Manage Gallery’, select a gallery, look at ‘Gallery Settings’.
In the dropdown menu ‘Page Link to:’ I selected my main gallery page, the one where all albums are displayed. This creates a subpage to link to. I don’t show those additional pages in the menu (my theme allows me to chose what appears in page menus and what doesn’t).
– Goto ‘Options’ and select ‘Activate permalinks’
– Goto ‘Gallery settings’ and select ‘Enable AJAX pagination’
– Then update your permalink structure
Et Voila! it’s done.
If it still acts stupid, logout of wp, restart the browser, come back and have a look then. The recommendation I got (which I didn’t try anymore):
After upgrading, in NGGallery’s menu goto Reset / Uninstall and select ‘Reset settings’.
Dunno if it works but it might as it clears the slate. If you decide to try it, let me know if it worked for you. The more I learn, the quicker it gets for future problems…
Ciao, Chris
Hi,
instead of resetting to the default installation, this is what I did:– Go into ‘Manage Gallery’, select a gallery, look at ‘Gallery Settings’.
This gives you lekker links to use & remember based on album & gallery names. Me like vewwy much.
Ciao, Chris

In reply to: [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Links to photos not workingHi databell,
got a similar issue with gallery thumbnails contained in albums linking back to the album page, not to the gallery display.
Did you determine the cause of your problem?
Find a solution?
Thanks, ChrisHi Sean,
had the same issue – slideshow looks cool but don’t like descriptions.
Try running piclens instead, it’ll show descriptions real nice.
I only use the [ slideshow … ] for images without text.
Cheers, ChrisHola Everyone,
got exactly the same problem.
Did any of you find a solution?
Thank You!Hi Sebastian,
got the same problem, albums display as they should:
https://www.airboatafrika.com/see-airboats/
Galleries display individually [nggallery id=x].
But link from album to galleries is gone…
Have you found a solution in the meantime?
Thanks & Ciao,
Chris [Scipio]
